Brookfield Academy strives to impact the quality of life for the children and families in the community
which we live and work. Brookfield Academy provides a secure, nurturing, and educational
environment for children; a place for children to bloom into responsible, considerate and contributing
members of society.

Brookfield Academy wants all children to have the opportunity to grow physically, emotionally, socially
and intellectually by playing, exploring, and learning with others in a fun, safe and healthy
environment. We are a faith-based center and offer non-denominational bible story time and
meal-time prayer.

Brookfield Academy is one of the finest earliest child development centers in Valdosta and has been
in operation since 2005. We serve the early learning and educational needs of children of ages from
6 weeks to 12 years. From the very beginning Brookfield has enjoyed a great reputation for its
quality, values and personalized approach to the requirements of each child.

Brookfield Academy is NOT a franchise and is uniquely positioned to offer your child an exceptional
individualized early learning and preschool environment that is unfazed by franchise fees, corporate
profits and cookie cut creativity.

As a locally owned and operated organization, Brookfield Academy welcomes positive family
involvement and encourages a parent-teacher approach where the need of every child comes first to
obtain successful early childhood education and school-age care.

Brookfield Academy achieves Center of Distinction

The Center of Distinction certificate is awarded to child care centers that meet a high level of quality
childcare for children 0-4 years old. Center of Distinction was awarded for the care and education being
provided in infant, toddler and preschool classrooms. The observation teams use the Infant/Toddler
Environment Rating Scale, Revised Edition and the Early Childhood Environment Rating Scale, Revised
Edition, both written by Thelma Harms, Debby Cryer and Richard M. Clifford to assess center-based
programs. The child care learning center's average score from the observation is used to determine if a
child care learning center meets the state's criteria for the highest award, Center of Distinction (scoring
5.0 – 7.0) or the next level, Center of Recognition (scoring 4.0 – 4.99).
